Couch - NETFLIX x ADOBE
DEsign Challenge
My team entered the Netflix X Adobe Creative Jam, where over 2,300 students worldwide were challenged to create a solution for a given design challenge. We created "Couch" a web platform that allows friends and family to watch movies in a virtual theater setting. As a result, we were ranked among the top 15 design teams and received a perfect score (25/25) in UI design.

DEsign PROMPT
Lia Mason and I were given a challenge “design a third-party desktop web site or desktop app (not Netflix-branded) where the community can celebrate shared stories together through communal and authentic experiences”.
RESEARCH
The first thing we did is to create a Notion page, and breakdown the problems to more manageable pieces. To tackle this challenge, we need to understand our market segment. Therefore, we decided to create a survey to understand what feature were essential. We were able to gather data from 70+ individuals.
PAIN POINTs
No single platform to allow chat, video capability when watching a certain film.
Other competitors seem to have weak user flow, as a result deteriorate interest.
There is a gap in knowing what movies your friends are interested other than word of mouth.
Mission Statement
To micmic group movie experience by bringing it into a virtual platform.
